Learning and filming simultaneously—that was the idea behind an ambitious feature film project by the Munich Theaterwerk, in which Allary Film & Movie College participated. The low-budget project (approx. €50,000) was directed by Holger Borggrefe and Stefan Hering.

"Two Are a Good Number" received several awards after its premiere at the Snowdance Film Festival in Landsberg, including the Audience Award at the Grenzland Filmtage in Selb, and the Best Feature Film award at the Festival of Cinema NYC in New York.

The film (working title "Dark Bridge"), produced in collaboration with the Munich Theaterwerk and the Movie College, tells the story of a young man in a wheelchair who lives alone by a lake. He is confronted with his past when his ex-girlfriend, who is now dating his former best friend, shows up at his house. Themes such as love and trust, money and power, honesty and loyalty, as well as guilt and betrayal, are explored in the film.

The film (cinematography by Dirk Heuer) was shot at Kirchsee near Munich on a Sony F5 with a prime lens. In addition to seasoned professionals, many crew members participated as part of a training program run by the Theaterwerk München (Munich Theater Association). The shoot also provided practical instruction on the film set in various trades. Lead actors Philip Dechamps and Sonka Vogt appeared in leading roles in cinematic productions for the first time.
